Terracotta Wedding Flowers

I believe in honesty so this may be hard to hear… I don’t like boho weddings. I know, I know, not cool… but it’s my truth. Pampas grass is my least favorite floral ever.

While pampas grass has gained popularity as a trendy and visually appealing addition to wedding flower arrangements, it comes with its downsides. One notable drawback is its potential to trigger allergies in individuals sensitive to grass pollen. Pampas grass produces airborne pollen, and its inclusion in wedding decor may lead to discomfort for guests who suffer from hay fever or other pollen-related allergies.

Additionally, the fluffy and feathery nature of pampas grass can shed easily, creating a mess that may be challenging to clean up, especially in indoor venues. Furthermore, the invasive nature of pampas grass poses environmental concerns, as it has the potential to spread rapidly and outcompete native vegetation in certain regions.

All this considered, I was thrilled when Milly from The Rose Reflective introduced me to Kaitlin & Alex. They asked me to create a terracotta color pallet for their elopement that didn’t include pampas grass (usually the two go hand in hand).

Below is a list of the flowers we chose to create this look:

  • White Stock

  • White Wax Flower

  • White Hypreicum Berries

  • Blush Choloni Ranunculus

  • Free Spirit Roses

  • Sarah Spray Rose

  • Chocolato Ranunculus

  • Grevilia

  • Italian Ruscus

We hope you enjoy this terracotta floral pallet!
